Social Work Licensure
In South Dakota

All social workers in South Dakota must be licensed by the Board of Social Work Examiners.

The Board of Social Work Examiners is the certifying agency for all Continuing Education Units (CEU’s).

Applications for CEU credit for workshops/educational programs must be made to the SD Board of Social

Work Examiners. NASW-SD does not have the ability to certify programs for CEU credit.

Please contact the Board for fees for licensure and testing.
